1. What does FIC mean in work?

FIC usually refers to the abbreviation of Field Instrument Calibration in work. In the industrial production process, various on-site instruments such as flow meters, pressure gauges, thermometers, etc. play a crucial role. Their accuracy and stability are directly related to the control of the production process and product quality. Therefore, regular calibration of these on-site instruments is essential. FIC refers to the process of calibrating these on-site instruments. On site instrument calibration usually includes multiple steps such as zero calibration, range calibration, and linear calibration. Zero point calibration refers to adjusting the output value of an instrument to match the theoretical value when there is no input signal or the minimum input signal. The range calibration criterion is to adjust the output value of the instrument under full range input signal to ensure its accuracy. The linear calibration criterion is to check whether the instrument maintains a linear relationship throughout the entire measurement range. If there is a deviation, corresponding adjustments need to be made. For example, in chemical production, flow meters are important instruments used to measure the flow rate of liquids or gases. If there is an error in the flow meter, it will lead to inaccurate proportioning of raw materials, thereby affecting product quality. Therefore, it is very important to regularly perform FIC on the flow meter. During the FIC process, engineers will use standard flow meters or other calibration equipment to perform zero, range, and linear calibration on on-site flow meters to ensure their accuracy and stability. In short, FIC is an indispensable part of indus

trial production. By regularly calibrating on-site instruments, the stability of the production process and the consistency of product quality can be ensured. At the same time, with the continuous advancement of technology, the methods and means of FIC are also constantly updated and improved, providing strong guarantees for the sustainable development and progress of industrial production.

2. What do FT and FE mean? On the drawing, FT is connected to FI, where FT is the transmitter and FI is the flow display. We know that a simple control circuit includes four parts: control object, transmission unit, controller, and actuator. In fact, sensing and transmission have two functions - sensing and transmission. And FT is the so-called sensing and transmission unit, in fact, there is also FE, for example, the representation of orifice flow meters must have FE, because it is customary to install orifice plates and differential pressure transmitters separately (of course, there are now integrated products), and when the PID diagram indicates the meter, it is also separated. Two vertical lines are inserted into the pipeline to indicate the orifice plate, and an instrument bubble is led out of the orifice plate, labeled FE. In addition, an instrument diffusion bubble is "introduced", labeled FT. FE is the sensor (orifice plate), and the sensor is FT (differential pressure transmitter), so FE and FT form the "sensing" and "transmission" functional blocks. And when FT comes out to FI, it is to the display table. If it is a DCS system, it is the virtual display instrument in the computer. If it is a control circuit, it is the controller (FIC) - the display circuit does not have a controller. However, it should be noted that
